Download the test-signing
certificate and install files

Get "Lawson Labs Inc." test-signing certificate and required installation files
HERE.
Download LLabsTest.zip to your pc, place into a new folder, and extract the contents
of the archive:
LL_USB2k.sys
LL_USB_v64.inf
LLabsTest.cer
ll_usb2k.cat

Install test-signing certificate
|
Right-click "LLabsTest.cer" and follow the prompts as shown in the first
7 images below, to install the certificate in the Windows "certificate
manager" within the "Trusted Root Certificate Authorities/Registry"
store. Repeat the process to install it in the "Trusted Publishers/Registry"
store location. Note that the certificate "name" shown in the certificate manager
will be "Lawson Labs Inc."
When finished, use "certmgr.msc" from the start menu (as shown in image
#8 and #9 below) to confirm the installation of the certificate in the two
locations.
After installing the "test-signing" certificate, follow the instructions after
image #9 to put PC into test mode to run the hardware using the test-signing
certificate.
Image #10-12 show the actual installation of the hardware once the PC is in test
mode and making use of the test-signing certificate.

Select "Place all certificates..." instead of using default, then click "Browse" and
when the box appears, check the check-box to "show physical stores", then scroll to
the entry shown below.

Select "yes" to acknowledge the security warning.

Repeat the steps 1-6 above to also place the certificate in the "Trusted
Publishers\Registry"
Check installation with the Windows "Certificate Manager (certmgr.msc)"

You can open the "run command" window to run that command by pressing the "R" key while
holding down the windows key beside the "Alt" key on keyboard.

Install driver in Test Mode using test-signing certificate

First you must put the machine into test mode. From the command prompt as
"Administrator" enter the following commands:
bcdedit -set testsigning on
To later get "out of "test mode" use:
bcdedit -set testsigning off
Reboot before proceeding.

Disconnect from the internect if connected. Connect our hardware (you'll be told there were errors installing hardware).
Open "device manager" and find our harware as shown below. Right click on it
and choose option to "update hardware" which will bring up the box shown below.
Select option to "Browse my computer for driver software" and browse to where you
have the .inf, .cat, and .sys files. Click "ok" when prompted and the driver
should install with the results shown in image #11. Confirm that the driver is
shown within the "Universal Serial Bus Devices" tab as shown in image #12.

While the USB cable from the hardware is connected to the PC, within "Device Manager"
expand the list of "Universal Serial Bus Devices." Right-click "LLI30x" or sri333,
depending on your hardware, and choose option to uninstall, being sure to check the box to "
delete the driver software for this device" as shown in the picture below. While connected
to the Internet, disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it. The officially signed driver from
the online Microsoft driver database should automatically download and install.
After installing, "LLI30x" or sri333, depending on your hardware, entry should appear in the list of
"Universal Serial Bus Devices" within the device manager with no errors associated with it. If you
see something like in #10 above, select the option to "Search automatically for updated driver software."
